The advantage of being able to change your hand position for xc riding is hard to deny. Not suggesting you would use bar ends for Red Bull and free ride type mountain biking but for basic cross country they're fantastic. Most people don't know how to set them up properly, they run them way too high pointing up which negates a lot of the leverage and could create a hazard if you do happen to go over the bars. Run them just a few degrees higher than flat and you will see a big difference.

If you expect sealant in the tires of your direct to consumer bike....maybe you shouldn't be ordering direct to consumer.

DOT fluid is hygroscopic. It absorbs moisture from the atmosphere over time. It needs to be periodically flushed to maintain its properties.

The holes in a frame are drilled in the factory anyways. Of course it’s planned by the engineers. Sixteen holes seems like too many

The only serious drivetrain that has legitimate merit over the traditional groupset shown here was the Pinion one. Being sealed against gunk and having low maintenance belt drive is worth it despite the weight increase. The other ideas are asking for trouble. And we will pretty much see more as more frames are built to take in gearboxes. eMTBs in particular will enjoy the benefits of MGU.

Headset cable routing is de dumbest thing ever

I try to add pressure to the rear wheel to the outside if the turn to get it to counteract understeer, and out of turns, I lift up the front wheel and straighten it any way. Maybe having a system to help with it could make the effect stronger

I just swapped out my 35mm stem to a 70mm stem on my xc hardtail, keeping my 760 bars. Best ride I’ve had in a long time. I’m focusing on fitness and uphill riding at the moment after a long period off due to health problems. I have to say I won’t be changing it anytime soon.

For older riders with bigger tummies, I believe straight bar XC MTB is much more comfortable to ride than drop bar gravel bikes, though I find gravel bikes looks sexier.

Who doesn't want another bike ? It all boils down to your means and priorities. The important things is you do ride and enjoy it.If your not a pro rider and in a competition , it really doesn't matter much , more than to enjoy riding with companions and reaching new places and adventures.
